Hi All

Made this neat looking Charging Station .

No more looking for cords !! Awesome idea ive had for a while & finally made !!

Specs for the box are on last picture for you all , if you like the thought of less stress in your life !! LoL

Like all first ideas, we find little issues that instruct change , I will make the next box a fraction higher to accommodate the cords with better clearence underneath, this fits OK , but just want that bit more room for longer cords folded up !!

If you like the idea , I would offer this advise :

1./ consider how many things you want to charge & measure the distance of Bays to suit your cameras ect as their plug ins are at the sides !! while phone plugins are at the bottom !!

2./ measure the powerboard length & height with cords plugged in to allow for effective clearence !!!

But having said that I am happy with it & my wife loves it !! :)

have a great day all

Regards
Ant

Great job, I made a few of these a while ago as well. Was not my own design though like yours. I got mine out of Handyman if I remember correctly. Great work.

Wow, THAT is a great idea! I have made really simple ones for cordless power tools (A 1x with the chargers screwed to it, with a six-way on one end), but for phones, I could see a whole industry. I will probably have to make one of those. Thanks for the inspiration, I like it!

I like to section in the front for additional storage. Got the squeaky wheels turning in my head now…

Re Gabe : thanks for compliment !!

I was thinking about storage for pens paper ect , I think it works well as one unit with everything together in the one spot !!

Wife didnt want all kitchen bench space taken up by this unit , so combined the charge station & pen storage was a good idea !!!

Like it !! like it !! Like it !! LoL

re : GJ6400

I stained timber with Mahogony Stain ,after I sanded back Matt Black paint !

Thats what gives it an aged look !!

Have been rifining finishing techniques !!

like the rustic look you got from spraying timber & then sanding it back !

will give that technique a try !!
