LJ’s
It was time for some segmenten turning. For a long time I didn’t do any segmented work. Why ? I really don’t know.
I had some maple and walnut which always make nice combinations.
The glue-joint are routed out to give it a real “brick build”look
There’s no finish on the bowl, this suits the rough look a bit better is my humble opinion.
In the bottom there’s a piece of “floating”purperheart.
This bowl will be sold and the money will go to several charity’s
Thanks for looking

Nice bowl Rick, but I think I’d put some sort of finish on it in my own humble opinion. I want to do some segmented work myself soon. Maple with Walnut is always a nice contrast

Really nice.
With some finish and a lot of fruit in it it will be the favorite spot of the house.
Best thoughts,
