This is a maple bowl finished with tung oil. 4” x 8” bowl cut from wood left over after craft fair projects. End grain tear out on figured maple was a bear thank “God” for 60 grit sand paper.

very nice, gorgeous grain. I use to have an issue with with the end grain but I learned a technique that almost prevents having to sand at all. A weird angle sheer cut with the underside of the bowl gouge..
