This is my first attempt at turning a vase. I was looking to make something basic so that the flowers would stand out. My wife has had these flowers for quite a while and they have been just laying on the bookshelf. I wanted to display them a little better as I like the craftsmanship in them. I have no idea what the wood is as I bought it in the per pound section at my local store.

After I finished this I began to clean up my shop and box some stuff up as I am planning to spend the next month doing a complete reorg. There may be a blog about it coming up to keep me moving.

Thanks for looking.

Better be careful, turning is addictive!

Nice work on this vase.

Ed, Sanded up to 600, used EEE, and then woodturners finish (can’t remember the brand but got it from Craft Supplies) then buffed with wax.
