For the last couple of weeks every time I come in from my shop my 3 year old daughter asks me “Did you make me a horse daddy?” I have told her no for too long now so before I forgot again I quickly cranked this out om the Ole scroll saw. I had a book of patterns I got from a used book store and was using this one for a votive lamp I’m making so I brushed up on my tiny cut skills with the pattern on this horse. It turned out much better than I had expected it to for a tiny toy horse. Its pine finished with mineral oil. Everything coming out of my shop is finished with mineral oil lately due to the cold weather. Its easy to oil a piec and leave sit in the house rather than finish something and have fumes inside.

A very nice pony for the wee one. Is she happy now? It doesn’t take much to make a child happy. Just a little love or a pony.

So hard to resist the little ones. :) Could see it now.

“Did you make me a horsey, daddy?”

‘Oh, I don’t know, why don’t you ask THIS GUY!”
