when i wanted to hang a t.v. in our bed room i didnt know what to do with the cable box so this is what i came up with.its made from cabinet grade ply wood with bass wood molding.minwax dard walnut stain and three coats of satin lacquer.

Great looking unit! I like the top/middle/bottom molding and details.

How did you mount this to the wall? French cleat or otherwise? Also, at a guess, how much weight do you think it’d support?

I’ve got an 8’ entertainment armoire that doesn’t know yet that it is leaving the bedroom. There’s a nice wall to put something just like this … thanks for the idea!

i dont know what u call the it but i ripped a 45 on two 1×3 and they lock together i would feel safe that it would hold 80#.the frame arond the tv are rails and stiles and the tv is bolted to a peice of 3/4 plywood .
