Once you start turning pens you can’t stop! I’ve been having a lot of fun with pen turning. these two pens are made from a couple of log chunks from the backyard. I thought that these logs would make perfect pen blanks. The birch blank was very easy to turn and sanded very nicely. The other blank was nice as well but I’m not sure what type of wood it is. This was a very fun project and I thought it was cool to see wood that was bound for the firepit turn into something useful.

Very nice job. Pens are quite addictive, and turning them from found wood or stuff that I have cut myself is one of the most fun parts. Look forward to seeing more of them.
