these are 4 cabinets i was assigned to build for the handcrafts classroom.
I made them in the same building, so it was easy getting them there.
This was sort of a sideproject i started in august.
I used mdf for the frames pine for all sides, and triplex as drawerfronts, the drawers were alot of work but once you get a systematic order it went faster. They also cary wheels underneath.
It’s painted acrylic white with a roller.
I could’t find the hardware i needed for the drawers in the store, with the namecard holders, but
i did found them on the web! ;)

a drawer open without handle

i made a little sketch, i used plywood strips inside to get a little bigger screwing surface for the rails. They also function as drawer stops. At the same time it doesnt add to much weight to the cabinets. At the rear i also used plywood strips on each side, because i didnt have a wide enough mdf backplate. all the edges of the mdf are reinforced with pine strips.

I would love to have a set of drawers like this. Maybe I would be more organized then.

If you are interested i can make a better plan. I never really work with a detailed plan :)
