I’ve made this stool for my grandma on request to replace a very old -with steel reinforced- stepstool. It’s made out of reclaimed oak. I’ve used a tongue and groove joint for the top of the stool and a wedged mortise and tenon to attach the legs to the top. Finished with 5 coats of wipe on varnish ( 1/3 linseed oil, 1/3 mineral spirits, 1/3 poly) and a coat of beeswax. The top’s diameter is 280mm and 30mm thick. total height is 280mm.

1 thing’s for sure, my grandma was really happy with it.
