well its a start into my woodworking career i basically took a strip of 3/4” walnut and 2 of each walnut maple and cherry at 1 1/2” glued them together and cut the blank into 1 1/4” strips turned them all to be end grain up and turned every other one end for end and glued it all up again i made 2 out of an 8 foot blank final size was about 9”x11” i finished with mineral oil and put little ribber bumpers on one side for feet.
