My step dad was a Navy Seabee when he was younger, so I thought that he might like this for his Birthday. His Birthday was Dec. 26th so I’m a little late, but hopefully he won’t mind. I found a picture of the Seabee on the internet and played with it until I got a decent pattern. The plaque is curly maple and the Seabee is walnut. I put a sawtooth hanger on the back and also installed two dowels so he can hang it or sit it somewhere. The engraving was done at the Base craft/hobby shop. Thanks for looking.

Nice! One of my high school buddies was SeaBee during Nam. Quite the group! I’m sure your Dad will love it!

Thanks everyone! 3G: It is curly maple. I forgot to mention that is is finished with boiled linseed oil and wax. First time using BLO but I think I like it.

Very nice and that is from on old Seabee. I was also a Seabee (when I was younger as well lol) and have tons of Ol’ Seabee stuff around and on my truck and I would say yours rates with the best of them. Well done Sir. As a Seabee he will truly love it as once a Seabee always a Seabee is how we all feel.
