we recently shipped this walnut table to pheonix. the family has a background in the california fruit growing industry, hence their interest in the carvings. they supplied me with drawings after seeing the maple leaf table project on my blog. this is now the third in a series of tables with carved elements on the curved corners of the table legs. my son will has done two of them and he’s definitely getting the hang of it … more detailed photos and process descriptions on my blog at this link. while you are there, if you have a minute, i have also posted a slide show of the projects we worked on in 2011, both finished pieces and in process photos …

Beautiful and artfully done, as always, Dan. I think I am one of your biggest fans! Truly a pleasure to see.

That is a very nice table and the carvings add much interest to the opverall design and a level of artistry. Well done.

What a great thing, to put carvings on that relate directly to the family. Your client has some classy taste! Beautiful job, Dan. Superior work, and I’m glad we get to see it.
