In college my roommates and I really got into poker, mostly texas holdem. So this last couple of months I really wanted to get back into it, but the dining room table was just not working for it.
I got my hands on some reclaimed mahogany and figured I would put it to good use. I used mostly mahogany and walnut. The inlay was just so my uncles have clear boundaries as to not take up my chip space.
I plan to make chip holders, which were going to be built in, but my family also likes playing various other card games so it wasn’t feasible.
Thanks, and I do love criticism as I am learning as I go.

It’s a beautiful table, your workmanship is awesome. But I’m waiting to see another seven sided poker table. I’ve never seen one here on LJs, they’re all octagons or ovals. I’ve never been in an eight man poker game.

very nice piece . I really like the detail on the mitered corners. It is the little things that make each piece.
