Now this is Cherry. The last bowl I put up was actually Maple…DOH. Any way, this has a little pedestal… kinda like a fruit bowl of sorts. I had different plans for this when I started it… but it took over and said , “Nope, this is what I will be.”

shape and finish both looks great.
should look even better as the cherry darkens up.

This is a beautiful bowl. I like the different angles. It really puts the piece into perspective.

I just used some High Gloss Tung Oil. Three coats with 12 hours in between with a rub down of 0000 steel wool. I’m going to buff it out in about two weeks and then put some Carnuba Wax on it.
