Horseshoe Pit With Composite Deck

This is one of four horseshoe pits i built for a family member. The frame is pressure treated brown 2×4’s. the backboard is supported by a pressure treated 4×4. Deck is red composite. The entire deck started as 5 1/2” boards which i ripped down to 4 1/2 and then routed the cut edges. The frame & deck is secured with exterior deck screws.

I really like this, it will control somewhat the damage to the surrounding area the way I play—LOL
