This was designed to match my bedroom set. I used mahogany for everything except the panels, which is cherry veneer. The inside is aromatic cedar paneling. I achieved the color by mixing different General dye stain colors until it matched the existing furniture. Finished with 3 coats of Arm-R-Seal.
I had some “bubbling” of the stick-on veneer after I applied the water-based dye. I don’t know if that is common or if I didn’t stick the veneer on the MDF good enough. Anyway, it was a pretty quick project and I enjoyed it.
