I made this for a recent craft show I put on with some friends, but it didn’t sell so it is chilling out in my house for the time being. I followed an article in Fine Woodworking, feeling a bit strange about aping another’s project and then trying to sell it, but then I found out the author had aped his idea from a turn-of-the-century piece. So now I don’t feel so bad. The top is cherry with a walnut center piece, and the legs are a mystery hardwood (picked up at my local Rockler store in the bargain bin) with inlaid redheart cuffs.

Nice work.
I agree with David @patron. ”almost everything we do is a collection of all the input we see and feel around us”
