This was a very grueling project to tackle. All-in-all, it took me, well, lemme think, counting the time it took to print the pic o the tuba, and cutting all that wood, cutting paper, trimming to fit, and all the gluing, well, bout 4 minutes and 87 seconds…... most of that was walkin out to the shop. Hope ya’ll enjoy this walk-thru. Thnx for lookin

So that is what a “tubafore” is…..wonder if I can get back to the Home Depoop and get one before the contest ends? Great imagination Roger….good luck in the “contest.”

You really are a skillful woodworker. Look really good. I really feel like an amateur when I look at this piece of art.

The design is well thought out and the execution is flawless, I give this one a 10! Nice work Roger!

Thank you for the tutorial. Maybe it is just me, I am still not clear on all the subtleties of the construction. It would be great if you would produce a video showing your techniques in more detail.

If you are uncomfortable revealing the techniques that you no doubt have spent decades perfecting, I certainly understand. It would be a shame if some unscrupulous individual were to purloin your life’s work.

Hey, now just one minute. I did a search for “tuba” and take a look at what I found:

Coincidence? You decide.

Kidding – kidding!

@Claymation: That’s the best answer. My other thought was to say that the thumb was gone long ago…
