a co-worker asked me to make a jewelry cabinet for his wife. Sure i can do that i tell him thinking it is a box with a door what can be hard about that its not an armoir. All of the jewelry box guys on this site make it seem way to easy. That being said this is made of walnut, birds eye maple, and honduras rosewood plugs. There are hooks on the left side for necklaces on the right there are two cubies for two walnut turned bowls one has a rosewood stem coming out of the center for rings the otherer holds earings.

Love the floating look….beautiful execution. I love the simple design…has an Asian flavor. The wood selection is stunning….great job! A real heirloom piece.

This is a cabinet to be admired.
Full of design details that compliment each other combining it into a eye pleasing creation of several styles.
The natural wood colours compliment each other perfectly.
A piece of craftsmanship with beautiful well thought out joinery that leaves me searching for words to do it justice .
Well done !!!

It’s very nice and I’ll bet that you really enjoyed making it. I love the contrast and lines.
