I found a piece of wood, that I thought was unique. I love the carvings done in “Found Wood” and would love to do more of that. I dont really think mine is all that great, but it is a medium that others do beautifully. I love looking at them. I tried adding sone Resin to parts of it to resemble water. I’m not sure that I will do that again. It works well with Clay, not so much with wood.

Like Lee said, that is pretty neet. I think you succeded with the resin, the log looks wet like in nature.

Hi Cookie,
This is a nice carving. It takes someone with artistic talent to envision and bring to life a project like this. I, being artistically challenged, would have simply looked at the wood and have seen nothing more than a piece of driftwood.
Thanks for the insight into things that are “hidden” inside common pieces of wood like this.

While looking at this before zooming in it looked like a big hog-nosed snapping turtle head, and then I saw the little guy nestled in the groove. Two turtles for the price of one. Good job!

That is really nice. Would love something like that in my garden.
As mentioned above I would have pased it up as just a hunk of branch but your addition makes it a great work of art.

nice job on the carving. My daughter finds drift wood and paints on them she can see shapes in them. Her best is one with 3 different dragons and a unicorn and some how she found a wolf head and painted it all.
So if you are creative you can see things most people miss.
