I was watching the tv series Band of Brothers, when I got the idea to make this box. I noticed the spades on the helmets and wanted to see if I could make a band saw box the same shape.

First of all: Band of Brothers is freakin awesome. Secondly, I am a poker/card playing fan. And lastly, I LOVE bandsaw boxes. You hit a homerun my friend. OUTSTANDING…ANd I am SO going to steal the idea. But I’d like to make a 4-box set. A spade, heart, club and diamond :-) With pictures of Dick Winters, Bill Guarnere, Babe Heffron and Don Malarkey on the sides. Don Marlarkey lives near me btw and I have met him twice. Thanks for the idea bro!

I like the lines on the drawer, you have a good steady hand at the bandsaw. The combination of wood really makes this box stand out. And I too like Band of Brothers, did everyone know that series spawned a huge increase in the WWII reenactor community, for a time everyone wanted to be Easy Company.

a bandsaw box in this shape would make a cool box to hold a few decks of cards :)

I think my dad would like this, he has a brass spade belt buckle that was his dad’s and is older than me. Love It!!

Have your say...
