well i took a break from making boxes and made a piece of furniture, some friends here asked me to make them a table for there tv to go onto, so i went to work, its made from oak and walnut, the front profile matches the one on there entertainment center and so does the color that i stained the oak, all of the joinery is mortise and tenon and the tenons are secure with 3/8 oak pins, the top is two pieces of walnut, the boards were 11 inches wide, i did use biscuits for alignment and it came out nice and flat, the top is secure from underneath with cleats that are held in with a 1/4 datto, i cut the cleat with my datto blade , ive always found this to be a really secure way to hold the top in place, and if ever there needs to be a repair or something, the top is easily removed, the legs are tapered with a walnut tip, i like doing this as it spreads some color around and looks good.the table was then finished with 3 coats of gloss polyurethane. well that;s that, its an easy build and yet i find it really beautiful, love that walnut…thank you for looking, grizzman

Gorgeous, Grizz!

Really like that you used walnut with some knots. It really adds character to the piece. The walnut tips on the legs is a nice touch- ties everything together.

Well you did it again. Your professional and unique stile shows it’s self again. You just get better with each project. Love the contrasts in wood colors, and legs, can’t wait to see the bed. your old fishin bud, stan man.
