Ok heres the story one of my passions is to take something old and make it look new again. This was my mother in laws bread box that was on her counter growing up. restored it best i could and refinished the hardware. stain is cherry with 3 coats of poly. the salt and pepper shakers are doll heads that i got at a craft store. made flat bottoms with the belt sander and hollowed out inside with the drill and a forstner bit. when my mother in law saw the set she cried, said it looked just like it did when she was a kid, and i gained some brownie points.
