Refinished Telephone Stand

Another refinishing project, this time it was a telephone stand back before everyone had cellphones. This is another piece from the collection that I have been refinishing for about the last 7 to 8 months. The wood for this one was Maple and some was Birdseye but had been stained to resemble Cherry. The process was just sanding the old finish and stain off. The new finish was Minwax Satin Poly.

I usually prefer things to be left in their original state, but that looks great! You’ve changed my mind (at least as far as telephone stands go!)
