This is another attempt to make silk out of a sow’s ear! This is a bowl from a board, that I decided to cut out 3 spirals. Just like my last post, where I had never seen a top like I made it, I have never seen anyone make a bowl from a board, with spirals.
Was a dickens to sand & finish!! The top is sharp!
Hope you enjoy & thanks for looking

Very innovative.
Is the spiral cut buy hand or with a router jig or…?

Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed your last bowl from a board, I made some a way back using the Ring Master. But as hard as I looked at this one, I couldn’t figure out how you did it. Was the bowl part made the same way as the other one? Then there’s the cutting of the spirals. That’s not only ingenious and out of the box _ in this case, it would be out of the bowl – thinking, it made the bowl stand out as not just another bowl! Great work, Michelletwo
By the way, how did you cut the spirals?

Beautifully executed! One would never guess it’s made from a board! You’re really pushing the envelope here.

amazing! I am trying to figure out how the heck you did that. Very creative. I tip my hat to you for some clever woodworking. I didn’t see your earlier post so I am trying to figure out if you turned this from a single piece of wood or actually glued up a board. You’ll have to show us dummies how you did that
