This is a Special Edition version of my baseball bed. It is made from Ash wood which is the same wood used in the matching bats from Louisville Slugger.

The baseball bed is part of our Children's line of furniture. What makes this special is the headboard has all the letters carved out by a CNC machiene. We start by completely finishing out the bed with the Hornsby color (named after Hornsby bats by Louisville Slugger). The letters are then cut exposing the raw wood under it. We again clear coat the headboard again.

Not only was the headboard special, but we did a couple more custom options. We had Louisville Slugger put the kids name on the bat instead of the player. We also made it to where it could be used with either a mattress only or both box springs and mattress. The Child is a little young right now so they wanted a lower bed with a little raised side rails. We added and extra back panel, more slats and taller sides.

This bed was completed in December 2011

Nice looking bed, great job, too bad you’re a Cubs fan! (lol, I live in St. Louis) Seriously though, it looks great.

Love the idea of being functional with or without box springs. Well done.
