I made this hood vent at work. I made it mostly out of alder plywood (with the beeads cut on the cc machine). I milled the molding out of solid alder. I stained it, 2 coats of vinyl sealer….glazed it….then top coat of clear dull. I hope the customer likes it. Thanks for lookin!!

The grooves add a nice visual appeal. I like the design and might steal it for an exhaust hood on my spray booth i’m making.

This is the one thing my dad and I did not rebuild in his kitchen, and he regrets it. Unlike the one we purchased, I would be proud to put this hood in my home. Looks great!

It looks absolutely beautiful…........but wow are there the nooks and crannys to collect the grease. Hope there is a heavy duty fan to avoid this if at all possible.
