This was a simple project that our grandkids have played with for many hours.
They are built from 2×4 s. I made lines about every 3-5/8” with a framing square.
I made lines and hand lettered their names than routed the letters. I then flipped the board and did the same on the other side ( names spelled backwards) keeping the top of letters oriented the same.
Than I cut the blocks apart and painted with left over house paint, when dry I painted the routed letters and painted the tops white so they could quickly spell their names with no upside down letters. They were about 3 when I made these. Thanks for looking.
