The cupola is on a one (1) story garage. The base is 3/4” plywood covered with ice and snow roofing paper and then has vinyl siding. The white framing is made from Azak with 3/8” glass insets. The roof is cedar with vent holes for circulation. One (1) window is actually a door to replace the bulb when it goes out. The light is on a timer in the garage. The measurements are 44” diameter octagon shape. The overall hight is 64” to the peak of the roof. The roof is cedar shakes and the light is an Onion lamp. Brought it up in 3 pieces and the help of one other person.

Wow Eric. Nice cupola! A cupola is a nice architechural detail for any roof especially when they look this good. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your comments. I had the weathervane for 7 years before I was able to make the cupola. It was a long-time coming but I think it was worth the wait.
