Bulls eye zebra wood, about 4’ long. The sweated copper base will be replaced when I design something a bit more elegant and compatible. Finish is solvent lacquer.

That piece of wood came from Willard Bros Lumber, north of Trenton, NJ. It started out about twice as long and wide, but with considerable twist. This was the flattest piece I could get out of it. BTW, Nakashima often got wood from them.

That is one great looking table top. I have never seen a piece of zebra wood that large.

What a great job.

Great dimensions and use of wood grain – with a bull’s eye to let you know where to place your coffee cup! Beautiful.
