Project Information

There are two firsts here- Knife handle and an end grain cutting board. I got the idea of doing the knife from a project posted be Lew found HERE I didn't realize he made a similar cutting board shown with the knife until now :)

The blade was purchased from Jantz Supply as well as the brass pins. The handle is made from hard maple and finished with BLO and 5 coats of wipe on poly. The blade was a razor directly from Jantz, I was very surprised with the quality. I am a professional chef and own a few hand made japanese knives and this blade seems to be just as high quality.

The end grain cutting board is made from hard maple and walnut. The board is only 6" x 6". I made it small because I have a couple bartender buddies that have expressed intrest in a matching board and knife set for cutting fruit garnish for their drinks and the requested something small that doesnt take up much space behind the bar.
