Well ,I have been having a great time turning anything I can find to use. These are basswood, black walnut, oak, butternut, weed pots. Also my FIRST BOWL sitting in the middle. And a top view of how the inside rims looks. Dick told me to use brown paper between the woods so it was really great to have that extra length I needed to not hit my knuckles on the chuck. Which btw…I ordered a way better one. *BG This really is a great way to use up all those little pieces. And hubby thought I was nuts to keep them. LOL
Thanks for looking.

Cathy,
I don’t know how to break it to you but you are addicted to turning. I am sure that you were warned this would happen. Unfortunately there is no cure and you must continue to feed your habit. :)
These are very nice turnings. I would love to be able just to try something like this.
Thanks for the post.

Nice work. See, there is a reason we hang on to every scrap of wood.

Very nice Cathy.
Now your scrap bin is going to be converted into shavings.
When your scrap bin starts getting low,
you’ll be sawing up boards just to replenish your scrap box.;o)
Your bowl turned out real nice.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I am gluing up pieces the night ahead to my sacrifice pieces so I have something for this addition! Darryl is putting his wood in a differant pile. I have to leave that alone.
;-(.........Gosh who’d think wood would be a “his and hers” thing! LOL I’m getting my system down so time is cut down. As soon as I get my new chuck that will really help. Dick helped me alot to get my brain to function and I sure am grateful for his information as well as everyone on here too.
