Rifling through the drawers in my desk one day I stumbled upon my wife’s and I marriage license. Being the typical guy at the end of the year scrambling to find something special for christmas, so I went out and bought a cheap document frame for the glass and the backing, used a scrap piece of walnut and quartersawn oak from the toy box/blanket chest I am currently finishing for my daughter. And in an afternoon it was together, first ever through pegs, the first one was rough but by the fourth one I had the hang of it. One coat of Golden Oak to accent the rays and 5 coats of 1/3 cut water poly, sanded too 600 by hand. Radius’ cut with coping saw on the walnut, half laps cut on the radial arm

Nice work! I like the design you came up with and especially like those square pins. The QSWO is beautiful as always.

Like Brandon said, the square pegs are a nice touch and the design on the walnut pieces is nice too. Nice frame and a thoughtfull gift idea. I bet she liked that.

Elegant build. Beautiful design.
You GOTTA’ love QSWO.
And … love means … years later … you framed it, instead of hiding or burning it ;-)
