I wanted a nice swing out door so not to loose any overhead space.
Also to be able to work with the doors open in summer with a puppy pocket door style fence that slides into two pockets on either side of the interior so my pooches can watch the kids go by on the way to school.
These doors give my shop some old school feel of some of the carriage houses in the area.
The windows operate in so i can get some needed cross ventilation if its hot in summer.
They were inspired from a old bungalow ad I found in a builders book from the 20’s.
I used some of that design and added the fixed transom window.

These are really nice looking double shop doors but, ......... where are the double shop dogs??
Thanks for sharing the build. All of us with metal roll-up doors are envious!

Good doors, with all the details thought out ahead of time. You and your shop buddies have a great place
to play, and with that side door opening to that fenced area they also have a good place to get frisky, and
invite you to come outside and play.
