This is my first attempt at making a toy for my youngest granddaughter. And a great opportunity to get my old grandchildren involved in the process. This was inspired by watching the TWW and their efforts to fight cancer. The kids helped me with the sanding and over all finish then they both took a side and painted all of the flowers and bugs at the bottom. They did this over the clear finish that way if later it is given to a boy it can be easily change if needed.

that’s nice Patrick! I like the idea of letting the kids help. My son and daughter love to come out and paint scraps that I have in the shop.

Cool looking rocking horse. I like the fact that it’s a zebra and not a typical horse. :-)

I am not sure how to go about this directly at this time but YES seems to do this as an annual find raiser. He will put up the project walking everyone through the build and for every one that sends in a picture of their completed item he and all of his sponsors donate a dollar for each photo entry.
