For the arrival of our 2nd set of twins we wanted a practical but high quality and aesthetic shelf with compartments for the nursery. It had to fit above the changing station and my wife had some ideas on the features she wanted. We could not find an exact match for our requirements in the shops so I drew up a 3d design on sketchup for her to visualise.
Our twins are now 6 weeks old and the shelf is well used, and I think a great feature of the nursery (but I could be biased ;-) Plus of course I found Sketchup to be a valuable tool in the design process to ensure exact customer requirements as well as offer fellow woodworkers the chance to make the same piece (so far it’s been downloaded 85 times and viewed 345 times)

my first thought wsa the same as Ken – 2nd set of twins?!? My wife and I have 1. Not 1 “set”, but 1, and he runs us ragged! Congrats on the twins!
I REALLy like this design. I drew up some plans to build a bookshelf similar to this, but with drawers on the bottom (and not a changing table). This is really sharp, and functional. Nice job.
