These are two cutting boards I built with scrap lumber. Still trying to figure out combinations for different designs if you have any please let me know I have the patients but not the skill or artistic thought process that many of you do. Lumber jocks has been a great inspiration to get me out in my shop and try new things
The first is walnut and oak the second board is end grain cherry and oak I finished both with 8 coats of mineral oil
These were also my fist attempts at using hand planes
Thanks

Very nice cutting boards. Both look like they took a lot of creativity and time making. I am sure who ever receives them they will enjoy them for a life time. I like both of your designs people will be copying yours. Most of the enjoyment is coming up with your own design that pleases you and your receipment.
If you want to see other Lumberjocks cutting boards look under “Popular Tags” and select “cutting boards” there is about 15 more design almost a good as yours.

Pretty cool! I like the herringbone pattern one. Not the other one is bad.

Really nice cutting boards, I like the herringbone pattern better also. Pictures could be larger though. Of course that is just a suggestion, we are reviewing the work that you do, not your pictures – Work A+, Pictures D- :-))

Hi Piper,
These are pretty neat cutting boards. I tend to prefer the first one.
