Here is the real first round of boards that went out to family for Christmas. Credit The Wood Whisperer for getting me started, and Lumber Jocks for really providing me with the inspiration to just dive head first into serious woodworking. All of your ideas, concepts, tips, reviews and projects are constantly providing me with inspiration and sawdust.

Thank You

The woods are Rock Maple – Walnut – Purple Heart

Purple Heart in my area is tough to come by outside of 3/4” and that’s the overpriced pre-dimensioned stuff at Rockler…So I don’t think there are a lot of projects in my future that are going to include it unless I get a special order.

I believe I will have to copy the first board. I love the little bits of maple on each end. Really seperates the colors and makes them stand out.
