I was heading to the fireplace with another old chunk of oak when I thought I saw something hiding in it. A couple of passes on the bandsaw and there it was, old and weathered on one side and anchored in burl on the other.

Ive been there. There is a lot of great wood that gets burned up. Well done…and good eye!

It amazes me what people find in a wood pile, very nice cross. im gona have to look around in mine and see what i can find.
