The horse with no main: Started in the the making of a horse pasture . Wild cherry trees are kriptonite for horses. Very toxic. We cut quite a few of them clearing for a pasture. I have used the wood to make many projects.
In 2002 my one and only (CHILD) daughter, also my favorite daughter, I often told her. Was getting married. At 35 I knew she was ready to have children. So I wanted to make a toy that my grand child would cherish for a lifetime. You have seen them passed down though the family’s. They call them heirlooms. That was My crazy plan . Haley was born Feburary 2009. I gave it to her on her first birthday , I really thought she would loose intrest after a couple of days. Before she could walk she would try to crawl through the legs. As she got older she have tea party on the platform, older she would sit on him and scoot along with her feet . Now I have to bungie snow white to his back. I hand drew the horse, fitted him on the platform .Slotted for fat wheels . I made the wheels with a drill and a hole saw between my knees , I had my moments. I think I should patened the way I conected the handle and rope, Just kidding Who builds pull toys anymore but old grampa’s . I really enjoyed making it. For a stand-by, just incase my daughter had a boy I made 5 goats. in case he broke one. I would give the money to Haley’s colledge fund if i somehow I would win.

That is a sweet ride! Any kid would love to have that as a toy! Great job!

What a strange tale, though he has none. Is that his father on top of the Seabird chest?
And was he foreshadowed on Storyboard 2? Just wondering.
That is some beautiful shaded colour of cherry.

My daughter got married in 2002 so I carved him at that time. He sat by the Fireplace until Feburary 10th. My grandaughter first birthday. When I posted my Man desk I posed him in the photo for a little ambiance. The Pennslyvania Wild Cherry turns a rich darn auburn color, add a scratch color and it gets darker. Haley got a puppy on tuesday by thursday the puppy was chasing Haley around the house dragging the horse , she had me in stitches laughing.
