This was a fun project – simple folk art style rustic whitetail deer scene to mount and display and old shotgun at my hunting club. A great wall hanger gun – we esthetically restored it and left it with the main springs long past their useful life. Just made for a nice display of one of the founding member’s favorite old shotguns.

I love old wall hangers – one of these days I’ll get around to carving the batch of them I have left in the safe. I think there’s seven or eight single barrel/shot misc gauge shotguns. I figured on carving the stocks, making a nice display rack of some sort. We’ll see … when I retire one day!

Great work , but pictures don’t show it? Hard to get a feel for your piece? Great piece I want to see it in a better light? Only way I can. almost didn’t stop on this project while looking for unusual and creative stuff.

One of these days I’ll get better photos, it’s screwed to the wall at my hunting club. I have a better camera now just haven’t gotten around to getting better photos!

http://lumberjocks.com/projects/18721 – this one is better documented. A little more involved project!
