Thank you all for your encouraging comments! As far as finishing goes on the BS-box I used several coats of a thin spray lacquer then hand polished it using a buffing compound and an old dish cloth. On the turned box next to it I used a couple coats Krylon’s Triple Thick Crystal Glaze—no buffing. I used a cheap clear coat spray on the other items. Finishing is an area I need much improvement in.
