My girlfriend had this bright idea to incorporate bamboo into the new vanity I had to build for our reno’ed bathroom. I had to figure out how to make it work. Anyway it’s built from ash cut from the in-laws bush, fairly simple in the construction, biscuit joined face frame, mitred door frames, beaded ash side panels and full extension drawer slides. The bamboo was cut in half lenghtwise and carefully glued to a quarter inch panel for the doors and drawers. The third pic was me trying to show Linda what it was going to look like, a fairly accurate representation if I don’t mind saying.

That is very cool. How did you cut the bamboo in half? There is lots of bamboo growing where I live freefor the taking. If I can figure out how to split it and glue it I’ll have to make something out of it.
