Different pictures of some of my turnings

when I’m not at work I enjoy being in my shop. I don’t always have a particular plan or project. I’ve come to find out that I like using the lathe because it lets me just “wing it” for the most part. Hope you enjoy.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I like the fact that you kept the sapwood on some of the pieces. I do that on some of my stuff, too.

A great bunch of turnings Robert. It’s always fun to wing it.

Nice! I really like the second to last picture of the goblet with the captured ring. It has a sturdy shape and nice wood… a man’s goblet!

What are you using to finish your drinking vessels and do you actually use them for liquids? I want to make some drinking vessels to use and I am not sure what would be a good finish for them. Thanks.

great turnings! the first photo reminds me of the scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where the old knight tells him to choose a goblet! sorry, that’s the movie buff side edging over into the woodworking side.
