I am always looking for a hammer to tap stuff together and I have all these oak scraps laying around. Why don’t I make one, this is fairly decent size with a striking face about 3×4 and is made of white and red oak with the handle made of red oak. The face is beveled and the handle is 1 1/4” rounded over that I made into a dowel to fit in the round hole that I drilled for using a 3/4” round over bit. It has good heft and is easily spotted laying around which for some reason i cant ever seem to find the other ones i have this one stands out. My wife made a comment about Thor if he were a wood worker.

Hammer of the Gods. Engrave it on the side. That would be…..AWESOME.

They are handy. I made one from SYP scraps, one side has an angle to the face.
