Here are a few of my log items. The finish on all of them is Danish Oil with Polyurethane.

Coat trees are aspen with a flag stone base.

The whiskey rack is an aspen root.

The benches are aspen legs and upholstered padded seat.

The wine racks are aspen and pine logs.

The mirror is aspen log with leather accents in the corners.

The dining table is aspen log legs with a pine top.

I use a 4” forestner bit to drill the holes for the bottles. I have a jig that will hold the log horizontal on my drill press table.
