This project changed my course in wood working. Fell in love with walnut. By far my favorite species thus far. Every joint was biscuit joined and clamped overnight. Same with the table top. Hopefully this will last far beyond my lifetime. Finished with Waterlox marine grade tung oil and poly mix. 5 coats on top 4 on skirt and legs.

Beautiful table! Looks like you put some serious time into building it – it shows. Fantastic.

Gorgeous table! Walnut is one of my favorites to work with as well. well, that and maple, I love the contrast of the two together. I dig that natural edge you’ve left on the table. that is definitely an heirloom piece in my eyes! Any intentions for matching chairs in the future? Beautiful work, man. great job!

A very nice table. I build one similar to it and it still stands out as an exception piece. in my mind
Walnut is nice to work with.
I am doing a corner media cabinet with cherry and I also find it nice to work with, when you get past the price!

Nice job using the sap wood to nice effect rather than it ending up as waste.

I agreee with everyone. Very nice job. I, too, enjoy working and using the sapwood as part of the project.
