I made this small chair to fit my Little Sweetie.
I did this with my Logman Tenon Maker. It doesn’t take to long to do once you have your logs peeled. You may watch a short video here.

Dick, looks like you could use a shaving horse! It would be a lot easier on your back when debarking. I was hoping that you were going to show us the actual tenoning tool that you used. The chair looks nice and well made.

Thanks for all the compliments guys.
oscomer, it’s funny you mentioned the shaving horse, I’ve been going to make one for quite some time, but I can never get around to it. I may buy this new gadget I recently seen in Rockler, it looks like it would be handier in some instances than a shaving horse. I could fasten it to a tree, & like to be standing while peeling.
I’m still planning on making a shaving horse though.

Very nice, I think you also made benches too, these go very well with those. You sure have a nice homely place.

You’re welcome. Lol, I just realized I wrote homely instead of homey. I met it to be a compliment, so glad you realized that.

Hey Dick,
I was wondering, it seems all of the pictures above of the chair, deck railing, etc. are of Alder too, correct?
Does Alder it work well outside?
Thanks,
MRod

Hi MRod,
Thanks for being so observant, I just change the name to Tamarack.
I don’t know why I called the chair Tag Alder.
The Day I posted this I must have had Tag Alder on my mind.
Tag Alder holds up if it’s peeled, look at the bridge I made.
