Christopher started as an enlisted aircraft maintainer on such amazing technology as the F-117 stealth fighter. Rose to the rank of Major resonsible for the aquisition of… Great honor to make his box. Lazer engraved his units and skills in the edges. Not one to brag, he had the minmum of “stuff” to display. Curly cherry and inlaid jatoba on the outside edge. Tung oil finish. Sorry pic is before we put in the flag…the most important part.

very nice and clearly built with pride! I want to do something similar with my grandfather medal, ribbons, strips, and flag. He was in WWII and now deceased but I want to honor and display his sacrifices for our freedom.

Great work – these are projects that are very much appreciated for life. How did you do the engraving?

Engraving was laser etched at the base wood shop. They have one of those really nice Epilog laser machines. I’ve done about three shadowbox projects now with laser etching, plus the routine going away gifts that are engraved.
