Solid Oak "Cracked" Bandsaw Box

I made this box as a Christmas present for my grandma. I use one solid chunk of red oak to make it so I didn’t have to laminate pieces together. The knobs are made of cherry.

My split ends have always gone into the burn pile, I may have to reconsider this. Nice job Kyle…..

Great job Kyle! The instructions mention a scroll saw. Is that mandatory or can you do it all on the bandsaw?

I guess if you are careful you could split it in half from where the “crack” ends to the bottom.
